About Rickey Jackson

Rickey A. Jackson, New Orleans Saints, No. 57, Linebacker

Rickey A. Jackson, nicknamed, “City Champ” from his days in home town Pahokee were he played both football and basketball at Pahokee High School; was named to the Florida High School Athletic Association’s All-Century Team, consisting of the top 33 players in the 100-year history of high school football in Florida in 2007.

Later nicknamed, “Mr. Saints” , (1981-1993 Rickey Jackson was the first New Orleans player to be elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He won a Super Bowl ring with the 49ers in Super Bowl XXIX and retire one year later.
